The Washington Redskins are ready to take on Robert Griffin III, or at least many NFL fans think thats who the Skins will take at the #2 spot in the 2012 NFL draft. Washington has pulled off a huge trade with the St. Louis Rams to move up to the #2 spot in this April’s draft.
Is the price too high for Washington? It sounds like the deal will be a good one for St. Louis.
According to the Washington Post – “The Redskins will send their first-round (sixth overall) and second-round picks in this year’s draft, plus first-round picks in 2013 and 2014, for what is expected to be the selection of Baylor’s Griffin”
The Washington Redskins have been determined for years to try and recapture the glory days of ‘The Hogs’ and the winning ways of the 1980’s and 90’s.
This is what many Detroit Lion’s fans were wishing upon a star for Detroit to do…draft a top running back or corner-back.
“I think Griffin is the real deal, but we will have to see.” Tony. S. of Warren said. “St. Louis has a good quarterback, and they are getting a great situation with draft picks. Looks like a win-win deal.”
Only time will tell who makes out in the long run. Do you think the Redskins made a good choice in giving up so much to move up to the number two spot in the 2012 NFL draft?
