The 2012 NHL playoffs are almost ready to roll into round two, and if you filled out an NHL bracket for an office pool, or just for fun, it may already have many scribbled out teams on it! In round one some of the NHL’s best teams in the 2012 regular season were sent home packing. Gone already are the defending Stanley Cup champion Boston Bruins, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Blackhawks, and the 2012 President Trophy winners, the Vancouver Canucks.
Tonight two more teams will be eliminated from Stanley Cup play as two game sevens are on the schedule, and another #1 seed is in jeopardy of having an early summer. The New York Rangers are the top seed in the Eastern Conference, but they face must win Game 7 vs. the #8 seeded Ottawa Senators. Face off is at 7:00 p.m.
Down south, the Florida Panthers will be taking on the New Jersey Devils in a win or go home Game 7 from the Sunshine State. These teams have rotated wins throughout this tough fought series, and expect Game 7 to be no different. Face off is set for 8:30 p.m.
“I wish the Red Wings were still playing, but I will still be watching the games tonight.” Mike M. of Warren said. “As a Wings fan I am disappointed, but as a hockey fan I will be watching tonight. Game sevens are the best!”
Here is a look at the Vegas odds for tonight’s big Game 7s:
