The 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers schedule is out on Tuesday, April 17. It’s a big day for Steeler Nation, as fans can finally begin planning out their Sunday’s for this fall. The official announcement of the full 2012 NFL schedule begins on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET, when NFL.com and NFL Network release all 32 team schedules. It’s a big event, likely to be watched by millions of football fans across the nation.
There were already teasers released about the 2012 Pittsburgh Steelers schedule, including the list of opponents that the team will face this year. The first six games are pretty obvious, as the Steelers will have two games each against the Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns as their divisional opponents. The rest of the games that will get played at home include match-ups with the Kansas City Chiefs, San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.
The other five games that the Steelers will play on the road in 2012 come against the Denver Broncos, Oakland Raiders, Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. There are some interesting games against NFC opponents in the mix, but that game against the Broncos is certainly an intriguing one. It will pit Ben Roethlisberger against Peyton Manning in a new uniform, likely becoming one of the games that the NFL decides to feature this season. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone if the league decides to put it on a Monday night.
The full Pittsburgh Steelers schedule is due out Tuesday night and then the debate will begin about how many games the team can put in the win column this year.
