It’s spring… so you know what that means. Time for my annual shoe review week!
Today, I’m starting off with a shoe for moms on the go: Dr. Weil’s Integrative footwear line.
The company sent me a pair of Dr Weil’s Balance in pewter to test out for my annual spring shoe review. The balance is a very comfortable shoe that you can wear to work with pants and get in those 10 minute bonus walks or extra few flights of stairs throughout your day.
I had several people comment on the shoe as I wore it around the last two months at work. I found it was a little wider than most shoes and slipped a little at the heal with thin socks. Otherwise, it was fabulous.
Dr Weil’s shoes have what they call an “orthaheel,” which is made to “reduce pronation, which can improve foot function and relieve aches and pains.” Dr Weil also makes sandals with the same technology. This feature is what makes these shoes so comfy. I found myself leaving my shoes on when I got home, not immediately taking them off and putting on slippers.
It has great air holes to keep feet cool when you’re moving around too. I took these to Disneyland and found them very practical and comfy for rushing around pushing the stroller and being on my feet all day and night.
Learn more about Dr Weil tomorrow (March 27, 2012) at a “virtual tea” to talk about the shoes and a new wellness initiative. The event takes place 8:30-9:15 am EST. Find out more HERE.
