On Thursday, April 26, the Robinson Shakespeare Club Student Association will read Shakespeare for 24 hours beginning at 8 a.m. in honor of William Shakespeare’s birthday (April 23). The reading will take place inside a tent near Dillon Hall on Notre Dame’s South Quad.
During the reading, the club will sell raffle tickets for a variety of prizes. The raffle benefits the Robinson Shakespeare Club, a club within the Robinson Community Learning Center. On May 5, the club will present condensed versions of King Lear and Hamlet at 2 p.m. at Washington Hall. The event will be free and open to the public.
On Friday, April 27 at 7 p.m., the Visiting Artists Series will present Charlotte’s Web at Notre Dame’s DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. The stage play is based on the beloved children’s classic by E.B. White. The performance is recommended for children aged 5-10.
