Blanket Jackson’s real father might not be Michael Jackson after all. There has been much debate surrounding the paternity of Blanket, Jackson’s youngest son, and a new report out today suggests that the little boy’s father might be Michael’s former bodyguard.
The new report comes after Jackson’s bodyguard, Matt Fiddes, opened up about the scandal, claiming that he is, in fact, Blanket’s biological father. While many are wondering “why now?” Fiddes seems to have a good answer. “All I want is access if he’s my child, to take him out, and spend some time together. My mum is dying of cancer. I want her to see Blanket more than anything,” he said (via Celebrity Dirty Laundry).
According to Fiddes, Michael Jackson offered him half of a million dollars for his sperm years ago but Fiddes didn’t want Michael’s money—but he did allegedly give Jackson his sperm. After Blanket was born, Fiddes confronted Jackson and was supposedly told, “[Blanket] is my son, but I used your sperm to produce him.” Only a DNA test would tell for certain whether or not Fiddes is telling the truth. He does claim that Blanket looks just like him.
Some think that Fiddes is looking for fame and attention and others believe that he may be the missing link to the puzzle that is Blanket Jackson.
