According to E! Online, Bobbi Kristina Brown will make her acting debut sometime this year on Tyler Perry’s newest sitcom “For Better or Worse.” Brown, the daughter of late singer Whitney Houston, expressed her desire to be a triple threat and sing, act and dance during an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this month. Brown told Winfrey that she wanted to honor her mom’s legacy and she knows she has big shoes to fill.
Brown’s character will reportedly be the daughter of one of the stylists at the salon owned by Tasha Smith’s character. Brown’s rep did confirm the news but there is no official date on her debut. The show is produced in Atlanta where Brown is currently residing in her late mother’s home.
Perry has been a longtime Houston family friend; therefore it’s no surprise that he would be the first one to offer Brown her first televised role. Perry reportedly lent the family his private jet to transport Houston’s body from Los Angeles to Newark and also spoke at Houston’s funeral.
“For Better or For Worse” will debut new episodes in July on TBS, Cox Cable Channel 31.
