An old t-shirt from college and a pair of leggings seem like a decent work out ensemble, doesn’t it? Does what one wear during their work out really matter since the objective is to get sweaty and a bit smelly? According to the demand of the workout clothing in the fashion industry, what we wear does matter and they have the industry to prove it! Stores like Old Navy and Express have devoted collections to the fitness revolution that are doing quite well, which may answer the question that what we wear while sweating does matters… for fashion but leaves it unclear about rather or not it really affects our workout?
Victoria’s Secret has created a new line of sport performance gear to aid in the fitness revolution. The new line VSX Very Sexy Sport collection offers a way to get a runway body in runway style. Their line includes sports bras, tanks, shorts, Capri and yoga style pants. With Victoria Secret, you will likely get at least the bra support you need to feel confident whether you are running on the treadmill at 5.0 or dancing in a Zumba session. The VSX collection uses a technology called Body Wick to keep the body dry by moving the moisture around the body when it starts to sweat and also lines most of its VSX collection with a fabric called gusset that ensure freedom of movement.
Old Navy also introduced a new line of active wear not too long ago that focuses on worry free movement and keeping you dry. Its line is not as stylish or full of color like Victoria’s Secret’s VSX collection but it boasts a lot of the same features and similar technology.
The point of both of these collections is to add a little bit more confidence to your workout. Knowing that you are not drenched in unsightly underarm sweat spots and that you can bend, stretch, and pull without worrying about what you may expose could definitely be a bit of confidence booster to pull that extra mile out of you.
