The following article is part of an ongoing effort to help homeless dogs in and around the Toronto/Hamilton area find suitable and loving homes. Sometimes this effort extends even further, since there are so many dogs that find themselves in dire circumstances. Currently, the need is great but the homes are few. Your help is desperately needed.
The Animal Guardian Society (T.A.G.S.) of Durham Region recently took in Duke and Duchess, gorgeous brother and sister Siberian Huskies.
This pair landed in the shelter when their owner moved back to the east coast. These 9-year-olds have been in the shelter for some time and are now billed as a “very urgent” posting because they are reaching the end of the time they can remain there.
Duke and Duchess are a bonded pair and friendly with people. Duke does not tolerate other male dogs but gets along well with females. Duchess seems to be the boss and Duke is very dependent on her.
Duchess is spayed but Duke is not neutered. Duchess is also crate trained, up-to-date on her routine shots and housetrained. To learn more about these dogs, contact T.A.G.S. at email@example.com with ‘Pet Inquiry: Duke & Duchess – VERY URGENT PFId#22358242’ in the subject line or call 905.263.8247.
T.A.G.S. is a non-profit charitable dog rescue organization dedicated to the health and welfare of all animals. The society works in conjunction with animal services, animal welfare groups and the public by assisting in finding permanent adoptive home for displaced animals.
The Animal Guardian Society was founded in 1987 and has since provided over 20 years of assistance to the people and animals of the Durham Region. Members areavailable to answer any questions and assist individuals with any problems they may be experiencing with their dogs.
Please note that dogs for adoption by T.A.G.S. are available only to individuals located in the Region of Durham. However they are always happy to refer you to a rescue or shelter in your area.
T.A.G.S also aids in the promotion of education to the community and are available for presentations. Volunteers and foster homes are always needed and appreciated.
