It seems the New York Jets’ new backup quarterback Tim Tebow is choosing to rent rather than buy a home.
According to the New York Post, Tebow is eyeing a four-bedroom house at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J. — an ideal location for an avid golfer like Tebow.
The monthly rent is $10,000 — a budget that could easily cover a mortgage on a nice co-op or condo in Manhattan.
But a rental property may be more conducive to Tebow’s bachelor lifestyle. The Trump cottage comes fully furnished in an exclusive community with access to luxury amenities he can’t get in a Manhattan apartment, such as two award-winning golf courses, equestrian facilities, and most importantly, a gatehouse to keep out paparazzi.
The secure community also features a concierge, fitness center and Olympic-sized swimming pools.
And the real estate mantra of location, location, location, certainly applies here — the home is only 30 minutes from where the Jets practice in Florham Park.
If Tebow chooses the place, he would be neighbors with fellow teammate and starting quarterback Mark Sanchez.
Plus, the move could help keep the famously religious Tebow away from Manhattan’s nightlife and other potential distractions — something Jet officials reportedly want.
