4 local businesses have been selected as finalists for the Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s 4th Excellence in Entrepreneurship award.
The Ohio Chamber of Commerce created the award “…to recognize those who continue to take considerable initiative and risk in creating new products and services…”, according to Andrew E. Doehrel, President and CEO of the Chamber. The award recipient will be the company that best exhibits the entrepreneurial spirit of Ohio by introducing an innovative product or service which promises to create long-term growth for the company, increases local employment and contributes to the economic growth of Ohio.
An award committee consisting of Chamber board members will determine the winner.
The 4 central Ohio nominees are:
Accel, Inc., a contract packaging company in New Albany was founded in 1995 by Tara and David Abraham. The company was nominated by the New Albany Chamber of Commerce.
Allvera Body Wrap & Wellness Center (Pickerington), a health center provides body wraps, foot detox, massage, facials and other spa-type services. The company was nominated by the Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce.
e-Cycle, LLC in Hilliard, is a global company focusing on wireless mobile buyback, data protection, and recycling for businesses and organizations. Founded in 2004, the company was nominated by the Columbus Chamber of Commerce.
Health Spot of Dublin seeks increase access to high quality, convenient and affordable healthcare services using the innovative application of technology to healthcare services. The company was nominated by the Dublin Chamber of Commerce
The recipient of the Excellence in Entrepreneurship award will receive $25,000 and a 2-year lease on a 2012 Ford Fiesta, compliments of Ricard Ford.
The award will be presented on May 15 at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce’s annual meeting at 3:30 pm on Tuesday May 15 at the Southern Theatre in downtown Columbus.
