Charles G. Schmidt was founder of the Cincinnati Butchers’ Supply Company which later became known as the Cincinnati Boss Company. Schmidt owned a house not to far from the original location of the Cincinnati Butchers’ Supply Company at 1968 Central Avenue. Schmidt and his family resided there from 1890 until 1901. After the family moved out of the house they moved to a house located at 803 Dayton Avenue which was known as “Millionarie’s Row” and “Brewer’s Row”. Their previous home was then turned into offices for the company to use. Charles G. Schmidt and his sons were actually known for some of their inventions as well. They also had patents for the machinery that they used for their meatpacking industry and their own company.
