This Friday, April 27, the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena will be hosting their own college night. All it takes to get in is a valid school ID and the activities await.
Start off the night with some art making techniques, such as the printmaking station or get your photo taken and be the star of your own work. Following that is a tour of their gallery, featuring their Old Masters and Southeast Asian collections. The last activity will be a Q&A panel with the staff of the Norton Simon, where students can ask them about working in a museum. Hear from their very own curator, collections manager, designer, and others as they tell students their personal experience and give advice in their field.
Registration is suggested and the event starts at 6:30pm and will finish at 8:30pm. For those interested in a career within museums, this is a great opportunity to talk to professionals and gain some insight. For everyone else, it is just another fun activity on a Friday night. Directions and parking information can be found on the Norton Simon website.
