A small but vigorous storm will move eastward into the Ohio Valley today. Moisture will increase across the area ahead of this system, but temperatures will remain cool today.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to break out across the Erie area this afternoon and this evening. A few of the storms could be strong, especially south of Erie. High temperatures in Erie will be in the mid to upper 40s.
Thunderstorms will continue through this evening, with rain showers persisting overnight. There is a slight chance for a little wet snow to mix with the rain across the higher terrain south of Erie late tonight. Overnight lows will be in the mid 30s.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy during the morning with a gradual decrease in cloud cover expected during the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 40s.
A warm front will lift northward across the area on Sunday bringing milder temperatures and a threat of thunderstorms. Highs on Sunday will top out around 60 degrees.
