Larry Jamerson, owner of a New Jersey wine distribution company located in Southampton, is excited about his latest project: Dangerous Wines.
You can hear the excitement in his voice when he tells of partnering with Russell Newberry (Deadliest Catch, King crab fisherman) to promote Dangerous wines which comes in three varieties: Dangerous Red, Dangerous White and Dangerous Margarita. The project focuses on danger—extreme sports and dangerous lifestyles. The brand supports those who are in the line of danger and what can be more dangerous than being a member of our military forces?
Jamerson says “U.S. troops are in harms way to protect our freedom. Dangerous Wines is driven to support military charities. Dangerous Red Wine’s sole purpose is to serve wounded soldiers through branding and partnering with all things dangerous to raise funds for them.”
Wine lovers can support our troops by purchasing Dangerous Red—$1 of the purchase price of each bottle will be donated to military charities. This bright, fruit-forward fruity wine is light-bodied, rich and on the sweeter side. It is best served chilled. At 12% alcohol and 9.1% residual sugar, it makes a delicious barbecue, picnic, or anytime fun-to-drink wine.
Dangerous wines is taking the support for our troops one step further by creating a Freedom Gives Back CD as part of the Dangerous brand and fund raising. The Freedom Gives Back project is designed to give singers/songwriters who are veterans or Military Personnel the opportunity to help less fortunate veterans while showcasing their musical talents. They are now running a talent competition to find 12 talented service members (past or present) to have their song selected for an album. The album, once produced will be sold for $5.99 at various locations throughout the United States, and all proceeds from the album sales and donations will benefit Finding Homes for Homeless Veterans. So, if you have an active or past military affiliation, play a musical instrument, and sing, this is your chance to be heard—especially if you have a song relating to your military service.
Dangerous wines believes in giving back and they are planning 60-70 events this year promoting the brand and supporting our troops. To help fans keep up with upcoming events, Dangerous posts all upcoming events on Facebook. In addition to Russell Newberry of Deadliest Catch, they will be working with the food Network’s Dangerous Chef, hosting Motorcross events, sponsoring Dangerous Girl swimsuit contests and Dangerous concerts at military bases for the troops. Seasonal and Limited Edition wines will also be added to the line-up in the future.
Best thing about these the wines? They’re perfect with danger, fun and exciting—pour it in a beer cup and drink it up. They are slightly sweeter wines perfect for backyard parties, barbecues and tailgating. It’s all about fun…and with the average price of $9.99, donating to charity has never tasted so good!
