Denver Comic-Con 2012 has added two new top-notch guests to its already impressive list of TV and film celebrities. Steven Yeun and Lauren Cohan of The Walking Dead play everyone’s favorite zombie-pocalypse cute couple, Glenn and Maggie. Yeun’s character, Glenn, has been around since the very beginning, a former pizza-delivery man who makes a name for himself as a fearless zombie slayer and all-around urban warrior. Glenn’s willingness to plunge headfirst into extremely dangerous situations (like a zombie-tainted well) was tempered in Season Two, however, when he met the attractive and level-headed farmgirl Maggie, and started to realize that maybe there is something worth living for.
Cohan’s character, Maggie, has quickly become a fan favorite during the second season of the show, by far the most popular character from the Hershel clan. She was announced as a series regular going into Season Three, so Glenn/Maggie ‘shippers should rejoice.
The actors who play these two lovebirds of the apocalypse will be joining their costar Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes on the high-rated and critically-acclaimed AMC series, at Denver Comic-Con in June. The Con will take place at the Colorado Convention Center June 15-17. These stars of The Walking Dead will be joining other TV and film stars at the Con, including Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: TNG, The Guild), Kristen Bauer (True Blood), and Jasika Nicole (Fringe). For those of you more interested in the comics side of the equation, the Con also features a long and distinguished list of comic book writers and artists, along with voice actors and other creative geniuses.
