I was just commenting this evening while the Blackhawks are playing (and after the first period, beating) the Washington Capitals, that I miss going to hockey games. Both of my sons’ teams are done now, so all we have to look forward to viewing is the NHL. Ironically, as I was researching what I wanted to write about this evening, I came upon the perfect article for me to write….Dogs & Diamonds.
This event is scheduled to take place this Thursday, March 22nd from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. The event will take place at Mon Ami Jewelry which is located at 23 North Wabash in Chicago. The event will feature valet parking. The cost of the event is $50 per person (which is tax deductible!) and is being hosted by FOUND Chicago. If you would like to attend, you must hurry, there are only 100 tickets to be purchased and they will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.
FOUND is a rescue, rehab, re-homing agency. It is 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Any contributions sent into FOUND Chicago are tax deductible to the fullest extent of tax law. FOUND operates exclusively by donations in order to help homeless and abused animals; not receiving any city, state or federal funding!
You may have seen some of their advertising, displaying that FOUND is an integral portion of Chicago’s premier pet campus. HEAL, a second portion is a veterinary clinic and STAY, the third portion, is the modern-day dog hotel.
Events such as Dogs & Diamonds help FOUND with donations for such things as the $5,000 from ticket sales, the proceeds from the silent auction scheduled to take place during the event, and even a portion of the jewelry sales! You will receive benefits that many can only dream of!
While FOUND is hosting the event, Amanda & Bryan Bickel from the Chicago Blackhawks will be participating with FOUND to help make Dogs & Diamonds a success. Besides the Bickels, All-Star MVP Patrick Sharp, Marian Hossa, Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith and Corey Crawford will also be present.
So you not only get to view jewelry at Mon Ami, the jeweler to athletes that are from the NBA, NHL, MLB and NFL, you get to meet with some of the Blackhawks! How lucky is that? And just to reinforce the hype, the silent auction items include signed jerseys and some quite remarkable pieces of jewelry!
If you have any further questions about the event, feel free to phone, 773.539.3880 or to purchase tickets, go to www.foundchicago.org. If you have any questions that you would like to ask Mon Ami, phone them at 312.425.1344.
