Since this is the weekend before Easter, there are a lot of Easter egg hunts along with regular events to check out The theme for this weekend is mostly Christian because of the upcoming holiday, but I have include a couple of regular events that your family might enjoy attending. I will start off with some local Easter egg hunts and finish up with other events.
Saturday, March 31
Helicopter Easter egg Drop at Strong Rock Christian School in Locust Grove, GA This is a hunt where the eggs are literally dropped from a helicopter. The time is from 4:00pm -6:00pm: Contact Carl Nichols via e-mail at email@example.com. Sponsored by Relevant Church
Decatur Easter Egg Hunt at Decatur First Baptist Church in Decatur. The address is 308 Clairemont Ave., Decatur, Ga. This will be on the front lawn of the church beginning at 11:30am.
Madison Easter Egg Hunt will be at Haggard Park on Hwy. 98. This is for children 8 and younger. Bring can goods to benefit the Madison County Food Bank. Rain date is April 7th.
Kennesaw Easter Egg Scramble starts at 11:00am – 1:00pm. The hunt will be at Adams Park, 2753 Watts Drive .in Kennesaw. They boast of 75,000 goody-filled eggs. The children will be divided into age groups and a separate field will be designated for special needs children. Rain date is April 7th.
Purina Incredible Dog Challenge will be held from 11:30a, – 4:00pm. Dogs will be challenged to do various tasks and compete for prizes.
Free Christian Concert as part of Big Daddy Weave’s Love Come to Life Tour in Fitzgerald, GA. Among the performers will be MIKESCHAIR and Kerrie Roberts. Via Dolorosa will be at the First Baptist Church of Jackson, GA. From 1:00pm – 8:00 pm on Saturday and from 2:00pm – 8:00pm on Sunday. Girls Night Out with American Idol’s Mandisa. Also performing will be Laura Story and Anita Renfroe. New Hope Baptist Church of Fayetteville, GA is hosting this event which begins at 6:30pm.
