On Easter Saturday, April 7th, cities and organizations all over Utah will be hosting Easter Egg Hunts and Easter-related activities for kids and families. Here are a few happenings going on in Southern Utah.
One of the earliest Easter Egg Hunts this year is on Friday, April 6 at 8:00pm in Cedar City. The ‘Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt’ is for youth ages 13-17, held at Park Discovery at 2077 W. Royal Hunte Dr. Bring a flashlight, as the hunt will happen in the dark. 1200 eggs will be filled and hidden, including five eggs with special prizes. For more information, call 435-865-9223.
Cedar City’s Easter “Egg-stravaganza Hunt” will be held Saturday, April 7, at 9:30am. The Easter Bunny will be there to meet you, and there will be more than 15,000 eggs to be found in this Easter egg hunt, held at the Cedar City Main Street Park (corner of 200 N. and Main.) La Verkin City is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt for all children ages 0-12, on Saturday, April 7, starting at 9:00am and lasting approximately a half hour. Admission is free, and the hunt will be at the park next to the City Building at 435 North Main in La Verkin. For more information, contact Kyle Gubler at 435-635-2581.
Brian Head’s Easter Carnival Celebration will be both Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8, from 11:00am to 3:00pm. The carnival will include face painting, a ladybug toss, a fish pond and Easter tattoos. On Saturday at noon, there will be a cardboard sled race, and at 2:00pm there will be a King of the Mountain race. On Sunday at 11:00am, an Easter Egg Hunt for kids ages 0-13 will be held, and if you find ‘The White Egg,’ you could win a 2012-2013 Season Pass.
