Fashion Week San Diego is back this October and I couldn’t be more excited. After taking a break from the recession the team is back to highlight and give back to the designers in San Diego. This year Fashion Week San Diego will be featuring 17 designers with a high production runway show at the Hard Rock Hotel on October 6th.
The designers are a reflection of our wide array and multi-talented fashion industry in San Diego. The designers span couture, ready to wear, swimwear, men’s, women’s, plus size, accessories, shoes, and costume design. Fashion Week San Diego is a collaborative entertainment event to celebrate the people of San Diego in the fashion and beauty arenas by showcasing and highlighting the pulse of these entrepreneurs and what they are creating.
As the Director and Founder, I can say we are thrilled with the caliber of talent participating in Fashion Week 2012. The designers we have selected are a true reflection of the talent and creativity that is thriving right here in San Diego. These designers will have a unique opportunity to unveil their best work to the San Diego community this October. The best part is one designer voted by the audience will receive a business package to help make their label and designs a reality.
The dates for Fashion Week San Diego 2012 are October 1st-7th. The events will be featured at FIDM and Hard Rock Hotel. Plans are underway for private industry events on Monday and Tuesday, industry panels and events throughout the week, a sneak preview of the best of the collections with a designer meet and greet, runway shows, and a local shopping event with designers’ collections to wrap up the week.
