James Doolin has guided his powered parachute for two over lovely Lake Lewisville for years. Taking off is on a nearby grassy field and only takes seconds. The powered parachute has a communication system allowing fliers to chat with James about terrain seen below, local lore and more while gliding at up to 1,000 feet over boaters on the lake, the handsome houses of Highland Village, as well as traffic over the highway. Practice your wave, there will be plenty of folks waiting for a salutation down below.
Imagine waving at people down below as you discern which view is more breathtaking. For just $125 for a half hour ride and $195 for a full hour on the powered parachute, it is a thrill and an experience, not to mention the ideal way to see Lake Lewisville like the birds do. From the altitude James flies, the views of mansions, neighborhoods, the lake shore and even wildlife are pristine and more than memorable.
Weather is instrumental in booking a ride. Flights are only done when winds are under 15 miles per hour, so it is possible to be rescheduled due to weather, so check ahead of time and be flexible in booking. The ride is worth it!
Flying and Floating Toys also offers standard parasailing above Lake Lewisville during warmer months for a 15 minute ride for $75, and a stellar variety in his fleet of boat rentals, for water skiing or just cruising on the lake.
