(Lake Arrowhead, CA) – The Phil Liberatore campaign announced today that Keith Olberg, who served in the California State Assembly from 1994 to 2000, has become a senior advisor to the congressional candidate. During the 1990s Olberg’s assembly district encompassed much of the same territory as the newly created congressional district.
“The people of this district know me, and they know of my passion in defending the U.S. Constitution” Olberg said. “From the passage of the unconstitutional Obama Care, to the violation of Americans’ religious liberties, to a President who puts our military in harm’s way without the approval of the Congress of the United States, Phil Liberatore sees where America’s leadership has taken us off-course, and he is passionately committed to righting America’s Ship of State,” Olberg continued.
Prior to being elected to state office, Olberg worked in the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives. According to his biography, he “was a member of the Reagan and Bush Administrations, managing governmental affairs, and serving the Administrations as the chief liaison for a Federal agency in its interactions with the Congress.”
California’s 8th Congressional District is the state’s largest, covering more than 20,000 square miles. It is also one of the most conservative with a 10-point Republican advantage.
Liberatore is a licensed CPA, and he founded IRS Problem Solvers, a business that fights for individuals and companies against the over-reach of the IRS. He hosts “Liberty Speaks” on KABC, 790AM.
“We need to get the government off our backs, and out of our pockets. Ordinary Americans are fed up with the oppressive power grab of the Federal Government, and I’ll work with my neighbors to put an end to this,” Liberatore said.
Liberatore often expresses concern for the future of the next generation. His conservative values gain him favor with many Tea Party groups.
“Liberatore is all about job creation, and economic growth,” Olberg said. “For there to be jobs and economic growth, we must reduce taxes, end outrageous deficits and eliminate the national debt, and protect America’s sovereign borders for the good of all Americans.
“Put quite simply, Liberatore is for liberty,” Olberg concluded.
Liberatore is one of 13 candidates and one of 10 Republicans running for the newly created district. He and his wife, Dana, live in Lake Arrowhead.
