Walter: “I like porcupines. It shows that God has a sense of humor.”

Olivia faces the fallout from regaining her memories from blue-verse (referring to the color of the title sequence), mostly because this has caused her to forget everything that she experienced in the amber-verse. Now this is an unusual side effect. Wouldn’t she just merge her memories or maybe remember things from when Peter started to bleed through the universe? Maybe Olivia can’t because there isn’t enough room in her subconscious for multiple memories. Either way, it is good that the writers are showing the effects that Olivia’s new/old memories are having on her job. It would be foolish for the FBI not to be concerned. What did you think of the change of Olivia’s memories and shrink session?
The case should have had a familiar tune for viewers. Possibly because the first couple minutes of it, the airplane footage, was exactly the same as it was in “The Transformation,” except there’s a twist. The man does not transform on the plane, instead he transforms after being questioned at the airport after the plane has safely landed. This is an example of the clever the writers are. Now this season has shown how the amber-verse has altered previously stories, but never quite like this. It was an interesting twist on an old tale, and it is always amusing to see how the rest of the team basically just goes with Peter and Olivia saying what happened in their timeline. Did you love the revamped story?
Lincoln takes the lead during this episode, and that is not a good thing. Basically, he ends up getting infected while on the job. Lincoln as the lead investigator was great to see in this universe. Alt!Lincoln has taken point on a couple of his cases, but Lincoln has never really had that opportunity. Hopefully he will get to have more chances to be a big part of an episode. His position on the show is definitely questionable right now. Obviously before this season and this amber-verse, Lincoln was not a part of the Fringe team. Do you hope he sticks around in this universe once everyone starts to get back to normal, meaning remembering their blue-verse lives?
Leave me your thoughts and theories in a comment below. Who do you think will be the next to regain their blue-verse memories? My money’s on Walter because he was closest to Peter, and he definitely seems to be demonstrating fatherly feelings towards him.
