Not everyone may be a poet.
Maybe you have a hard time thinking of the right words. It’s OK, being familiar with an existing work is all that is needed in this case. “If I were a Poet,” a geocache located in downtown Providence will have you flexing your poetic knowledge while pursuing the find.
The puzzle can be solved a few different ways.
This particular cache is a puzzle cache. This means that clues will be provided to lead geocachers to the hiding spot. The first portion of the cache is listed as optional; however, the intention of the cache is to bring an audience to all three locations to log a find.
First stop, Providence, RI.
The cache’s published coordinates will bring you to the Providence Amtrak station. While the hiding spot is not here, the first clue is. Instructions will find you in finding the quote and then identifying the poet.
I didn’t know there was math involved!
Making the puzzle a bit more challenging is some math. Did you identify the poet? If so, you’ll need more information about the author to do some quick math to move on to stage 2!
Name: If I Were a Poet
