The San Diego Ghost and Paranormal Group (SDGAP) is presenting a conference as a fundraiser for the Maritime Museum of San Diego, California. This unique event will focus on the subject of old maritime ghosts and held upon old haunted ships the weekend of September 14, 15 2012. Featured are the haunted Star of India and the Steam Ferry Berkeley—both nestled in the San Diego Bay.
The Maritime Ghost Conference will take place on board the Steam Ferry Berkeley which is anchored at the Embarcadero on the San Diego waterfront. There will be ghost investigations on the Berkeley during the nights of September 14, 15, 2012.
The famous Star of India is known as one of the most haunted locations in San Diego. It has been featured on many TV shows such as My Ghost Story, Ghost Hunters, and more. There will be additional ghost investigations held on the Star of India during the nights of September 14 & 15.
Nicole Strickland will discuss her work on the RMS Queen Mary. Experts of four haunted ships (the Star of India, the RMS Queen Mary, the USS Hornet, and the USS Midway) will tell the tales on the ghosts of each ship. They will talk about the paranormal activity that has been seen and experience on these vessels.
Mary Celeste will do a presentation of ghost ships of history. Several paranormal celebrities will be on hand as guest speakers and meet with the guests. They will be selling their books, videos, and other items in the vendor area.
Patrick Wheelock, founder of Beyond Investigation Magazine has volunteered to be the leader of the paranormal investigations of the two haunted Maritime Museum ships on the weekend of the conference.
Marie D Jones will be speaking on the link between water and the paranormal activity.
This is the first paranormal event focusing on the subject of maritime ghosts. All proceeds from the conference will go to the Maritime Museum of San Diego—one of the best maritime museums in the country.
