The Wine Riot is back in Boston, this April 20 – 21, at the Boston Park Plaza Castle located at 50 Arlington Street! I first attended this event in 2011, when I first met my friends at Second Glass. Second Glass is a company that uses highly interactive events and social media to bring consumers and wineries together. When I first met them, I was immediately attracted to the concept of a Wine Riot, that wine should be accessible and easy for all, not pretentious and stuffy. Wine Riot is a wine tasting for the new generation of wine lovers (like myself) who love storing wine notes in an easy to access app, and relish an event which pops with fun!
This is what you will get at Wine Riot. Yes, they have several wineries and tables of wine to try from around the world (that may seem standard), but they create a loungy experience as well, with a DJ spinning and interactive activities to keep you entertained all night. I plan on attending an evening session so it is essentially my “night out” activity that day, which is a great pairing of wine and fun.
There are three times to attend the Wine Riot this April:
Opening Night Event: Friday, April 20th, 2012: 7PM to 11PM
Riot 1: Saturday, April 21st, 2012: 1PM to 5PM
Riot 2: Saturday, April 21st, 2012: 7PM to 11PM
Tickets are around $50 (which is a great value compared to other similar events around the country) and you can buy them at http://secondglass.com/wineriot/boston-2012/tickets/. (They have other Wine Riots too, so check their site for your city if you are not in Boston)
Hope to see you there! Cheers!
