Fans of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” have no doubt seen the promo for tonight’s episode, “Moment of Truth,” in which resident April Kepner (Sara Drew) seems to go a little off her rocker. In one scene she is seen punching some nameless guy dead in the face. In another she is seen accusing someone of sabotaging the residents’ chances at the board exams. In still another seen, she seems to be having an emotional meltdown in front of Owen (Kevin McKidd).
We all know April is a little high-strung and her virginity has been a topic in several past episodes. That same promo also shows April and Jackson (JesseWilliams) in a lip lock of epic proportions. SPOILER ALERT: The kiss is real, not a dream sequence or anything and is brought on by the stress of the impending boards. What happens afterward will take the remaining four episodes of the season to unfold. Southern Illinois fans may be wondering where that kiss will lead and according to Drew who was quoted in TV Guide, “It’s going to bite both of them in the ass because they both walk away from that being confused by the whole thing,” Drew says. “The writers have really written a very interesting journey for April and Jackson over the next four episodes.” Could Jackson be the one April gives up her virginity to?
SPOILER ALERT: The person April is yelling at about the alleged sabotage is indeed Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) as the promo insinuates. Meredith is dealing with something very big of her own that distracts her and causes problems for everyone else.
With boards, come graduation and moving on. Rumor has it there will departures after season 8 but who that could be is still up in the air. Will it be one or more of the residents? Will Christina and Owen’s faltering marriage be the cause of the departure or will Meredith’s news have something to do with her or Derek (Patrick Dempsey) leaving? Southern Illinois fans can tune in tonight to see April’s meltdown and make out on WSIL TV, channel 3 at 7 PM.
