Warhouse is one of two Halo 4 multiplayer maps announced so far and 343 Industries went a little more in depth on Friday and provided concept art for the new map.
343 Industries wanted to created a “memorable” multiplayer map from an “interesting and unseen part of the Halo universe, that tells a story.” After going through many iterations ranging from jungle map to a science facility, the studio settled on a stratospheric gas-mining ship floating above a planet with some unique backgrounds.
Gameplay wise, Warhouse is a symmetrical map that has numerous over and under pathways that lead to a center room housing a half-constructed mech. The map was built with the Slayer gametype in mind and 343 Industries sprinkled many landmarks throughout to help players keep from getting lost in its complex web of tunnels.
Warhouse derives its inspiration from oil refineries, giant mechs from films and cartoons, NASA imagery of gas giants, naval shipyards, and aircraft carriers among others according to 343 Industries.

An official release date has not been revealed yet but Halo 4 is expected sometime during the Holiday 2012 season.
