Honda has announced that they will be recalling over 550,000 sport utility vehicles in the U.S. to inspect them for faulty headlight wiring.
Honda said that this recall will affect all 2002 to 2004 CR-V SUVs and all 2003 Pilot SUVs.
The Honda dealerships will inspect all the headlight wiring that could potentially cause the wiring system to fail, causing the low-beam headlights to not work.
If the lights were to go out at night while driving then the possibilities of an accident would be greatly increased, however, Honda has reported that their have been no injuries or crashes related to the issue.
CR-V and Pilot SUV owners can expect to recieve a letter near the end of April, but they can also check to see if their vehicle requires repair on www.recalls.honda.com or by calling 1-800-999-1009.
