A small but vigorous storm will move eastward into the Ohio Valley today. Moisture will increase across the area ahead of this system, but temperatures will remain cool today.
Clouds will increase throughout the day with high temperatures in Buffalo reaching the upper 30s to lower 40s.
Rain will break out across western New York this evening. There could be a thunderstorm in a few spots as well. Later tonight, slightly colder air will arrive and a little wet snow could mix with the rain, especially across the higher terrain. Overnight lows will be in the mid 30s.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain and snow showers. Activity will gradually taper off during the afternoon as some drier air overspreads the region. Highs will be around 40 degrees.
A warm front will lift northward toward the area on Sunday bringing milder temperatures and a threat of more rain. Highs on Sunday will top out in the mid 50s.
