While browsing the net, I stumbled across this gem of a movie trailer, that once viewed, felt the need to show my readers as well.
Have you heard of this movie? It is the little movie that could, that is getting released in theaters on April 04, 2012. Still no idea if it will be limited release here in the states, as the film is foreign, but here’s hoping the word will get out about it soon.

What is amazing about the film is that the people behind it have been on this film for a while and have succeeded in putting together an interesting sci-fi, satirical comedy of the Nazi’s in space, ready to attack the Earth.
In fact when watching the trailer clip, you get the sense that it is another basic alien invasion movie, when it is actually the Nazi’s ready to come back and take over the world. Just from the clip alone, you get the feeling that you’ve seen this type of film before, as it is reminiscent of several movies such as Inglorious Basterds, Sucker Punch, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Sin City, Metropolis, and of course Mars Attacks.
With that said, this looks to be a modern take on what is or what has been happening in the world, from a Palin-like president in the White House, to jokes about computer sizes.
Check out the trailer, and hopefully it will be playing at a theater near you in April. Also check out ironsky.net as there is still more information about the film and those behind the film.
The premise of the film:
In the last moments of World War II, a secret Nazi space program evaded destruction by fleeing to the Dark Side of the Moon. During 70 years of utter secrecy, the Nazis construct a gigantic space fortress with a massive armada of flying saucers.
When American astronaut James Washington (Christopher Kirby) puts down his Lunar Lander a bit too close to the secret Nazi base, the Moon Führer (Udo Kier) decides the glorious moment of retaking the Earth has arrived sooner than expected. Washington claims the mission is just a publicity stunt for the President of the United States (Stephanie Paul), but what else could the man be but a scout for the imminent attack by Earth forces? The Fourth Reich must act!
Two Nazi officers, ruthless Klaus Adler (Götz Otto) and idealistic Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), travel to Earth to prepare the invasion. In the end when the Moon Nazi UFO armada darkens the skies, ready to strike at the unprepared Earth, every man, woman and nation alike, must re-evaluate their priorities.
