Kaufman County law officers honored by D.A.’s office

Kaufman, Texas – On April 25, 2012, The Kaufman County District Attorney’s Office sponsored a breakfast that was hosted by Carmona’s Tex-Mex & Cantina in Terrell, Texas. The week of April 22 through April 28, 2012 has been declared National Crime Victims Rights Week.

During National Crime Victims Rights Week, the D.A.’s office commemorates the efforts of law enforcement officials who go above and beyond to bring home to crime victims. Kaufman County Sheriff’s Sergeant Phillip Stewart and Assistant Chief Rodney Evans received awards for outstanding service on behalf of victims of crime in Kaufman County.

Kaufman County Sheriff David Byrnes stated “I commend each of you for the commitment that your have made to your community, as well as to the victims and their families.”
