The Kravis Center is pleased to offer six distinct shows next season that is sure to delight everyone, young and old.
“Catch Me If You Can,” which is based on the HIT movie featuring Tom Hanks and Leonardo DiCaprio, tells the story of Frank W. Abagnale, Jr…. with a musical twist. Abagnale, Jr. seeks to find glamor in the form of a pilot, doctor, and a lawyer. All the while, he is attempting to woo the girl of his dreams while being chased by a ruthless FBI agent. Catch this musical (while you can!) from November 13th though the 18th.
The boys of Jersey are back in town!!”Jersey Boys” is returning to West Palm Beach for a two week holiday run (December 19th, 2012- January 6th, 2013). “Boys” tells the story of Franki Valli and the Four Seasons, who started out as four blue collar kids living in the good o’ Jersey. You won’t want to miss this HIT musical. It is Broadway at it’s finest!
Chim chim-in-ery, chim chim-in-ery, chim cher-ee! Mary Poppins will be flying to the Kravis Center, umbrella and all. Everyone’s favorite nanny, Mary Poppins, drops into the home of the Banks family and gives them the most magical adventure of their lives. It’s a SUPERCALIFRALISTICEXPIALIDIOUS of a show!! The magic runs from January 29th through February 3, 2013.
“Billy Elliot: The Musical,” which has been called “the musical of the decade” by Time Magazine, brings it’s inspiring but triumphant story to the Dreyfoos Hall stage. “Elliot” tells the story of a young boy who pursues his dream… of ballet dancing. It’s sure to be a crowd pleaser that will make you stand up and cheer! Dance your way to “Elliot” from March 5th through the 10th.
American Idol contestant Constantine Marqoulis plans to scare up the Kravis Center in “Jekyll & Hyde: The Musical.” “Jekyll & Hyde”follows a London Doctor, Dr. Henry Jekyll, who unleashes his inner evil alter ego, Mr. Edward Hyde, in order to cure his father’s mental illness. Recording artist, Deborah Cox, will star as Lucy. Discover the “horror” of it all from March 26th through the 31st.
What does the Australian outback, a battered old bus and a trio of friends have in common? You guessed it! It’s the premise of Bette Midler’s production of “Priscilla Queen of the Desert.” It’s a fabulous musical about staying true to yourself, standing up to your friends, and looking good while you do it. This will be the happiest two hours that you don’t want to miss! Join the adventure from April 23rd through April 28th, 2013.
