In addition to lighting up the small screen every week, the starlet has been busy off screen as well with several campaigns!
In her continued support for DKMS’ “Share the Love” campaign, run in conjunction with Vera Wang, for bone marrow donation, Leighton Meester is currently appearing in a print ad run in magazines of her demographic for the organization. With a purchase of $78 or more with Vera Wang’s Lovestruck fragrances (for which Leighton is a spokesperson), you will receive a “Share the Love” t-shirt designed by Vera herself to show your support for the cause. The ad features the actress with a survivor who benefitted from the help of one generous marrow donation.
A video for the campaign is also available. Please be sure to check out getswabbed.org for more information on how you can potentially save a life.
Meester is also participating in NYC’s ANYBody of Water Campaign. I<3H20 is an organization concerned with issues of water conservation and Meester, along with several other celebrities, have shot a PSA concerning NYC’s hydro-fracking, a technique which contaminates tap water with harmful chemicals used during the process. You can check out the videos at the organization’s youtube channel.
Finally, in a more commercial spin, Meester just finished a campaign for a new, high-end shopping center called Cidade Jardim in Sao Paolo, Brazil (and no, I will not be posting the bikini pics here – let the girl have her vacation!). Among the other participants are fashion heavy-hitters Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Moss. A shot has already been released from the campaign and everything looks gorgeous.
You can check out official pics from these campaigns in the gallery. Hopefully there will be more to come.
