The “Long Island Medium” returns Sunday as her second season gets underway. This week she makes a ghostly connection between a widow and her dead husband, who was a police officer. The late officer wants Theresa to convey to his wife that he loves her, which is a comforting message for the mourning widow.
Michael J Califano died on the Long Island Expressway last year in a crash. What Theresa has to say to the wife he left behind, makes her a believer. The late Officer Califano flooded Theresa with thoughts of what he would like his wife to know, according to the New York Daily News.
Theresa tells Jackie that her husband is aware of how hard this has been for her and he knows she is feeling all alone at times but she’s not, as he is there watching over her and their three kids. He also warns his wife that her pain may get deeper as time goes on.
Both Jackie and Theresa break down in tears as Jackie explains she has to stay strong for her three boys. The reading was bitter sweet as the pain of this now single mother was very apparent, but Theresa’s comforting words looked as if it elevated some of that pain for Jackie.
Officer Califano is thought to have died instantly when he was on a routine traffic stop and struck by another car. Jackie explained that when she heard the news of his death, she felt like she was “outside her body and watching a dream.”
Connecticut fans of the “Long Island Medium” can tune in Sunday night to Connecticut’s TLC Channel at 9pm EST to watch the episodes of season 2.
