Tune into KCIS AM 630 to listen to some great Radio programs. KCIS is part of the CRISTA Ministries (They also have SPIRIT 105.3 on the FM dial). As part of the faith community here in Seattle, radio programming is an integral part of our culture. Whether you are sitting in your car, listening on your handheld devices, or sitting in front of a computer, the ability to listen to radio programs is much different from thirty years, forty years, and even fifty years ago.
Some programs that the Seattle Multi-Faith has listened to, over the past couple of weeks, are as follows:
The Narrow Path hosted by Steve Gregg airs at 2:00 p.m. during the weekdays. This live radio show is listener supported with people from all areas calling in asking Steve questions about the life and faith of Christians, Bible commentary and questions, social issues, and anything relevant to the Christian community. Compared to Hank Hanagraaff’s Bible Answerman Show that airs after Steve Gregg, the Seattle Multi-Faith finds the Narrow Path more palatable and down to earth for those who are looking for a good radio program with question and answers from everyday people.
In the Market is hosted by national radio syndicate host, Janet Parshell. Today, according to the website for her radio program, Parshell is having an Open Phones Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. PST. This open call discusses the headlines of the past week and listeners are encouraged to call in with their thoughts, including the Supreme Court hearing of oral arguments in the Healthcare law. The second hour of the radio program is specifically discussing the Supreme Court and questions about the hearings that came before the Supreme Court on the Health Care reform law.
Legacy Out loud is hosted by Carrie Abbott of the Legacy Institute and is focused on sexual integrity in our homes, faith, and community. By providing empowering resources for parents and families in a sexually broken culture, the Legacy Out Loud program provides parents, husbands, wives, and community listeners’ advice, tips, suggestions, news, and resources to navigate our highly charged and sexualized culture. Past radio broadcasts are accessible here.
Family Life Today is hosted by Dennis Rainey, who is also a financial guru in the Christian community. Dennis Rainey interviews authors, pastors, experts, as well as everyday individuals. Information listeners will enjoy are thought provoking advice and suggestions in today’s challenging times.
