Evansville, IN – Kylee is a beautiful four-month-old American Mastiff with a gentle demeanor and a deadly condition.
Kylee has a serious heart murmur – to be more specific, she suffers from Pulmonic Stenosis.
As Kylee’s body quickly grows, the strain on her struggling heart increases and she is already suffering the negative effects from her condition.
The bad news is that Kylee’s condition is going to worsen as she grows – to the point that it will likely take her life.
The good news is that there is a surgery (Valvuloplasty) which can correct her malformed valve. Unfortunately, the life-saving surgery comes with a hefty price tag.
Kylee is currently in the care of the Masthaven Mastiff Sanctuary, a non-profit organization established to help care for displaced or at risk Mastiffs.
Her careproviders are desperate to raise the funds necessary to get Kylee the surgery which will ultimately save her life.
Right now, approximately ten percent of the funds have been raised, leaving a staggering 90 percent looming over the rescue organization’s head.
Time to raise the funds, unfortunately, is not on Kylee’s side. Due to her breed, and her age, she is growing quickly. As she grows, her health deteriorates.
Funds for her surgery must be raised quickly in order for her to be able to have a chance at a normal, full life.
Ro Lewis, founder of the Masthaven Mastiff Sanctuary, had this to share about young Kylee,
Kylees personality is more low key than most Mastiffs due to energy levels fluctuating.. She really shines in the mornings after a full nights rest.. She is super loving and curious and absolutely adores her other Mastiff siblings.
Kylee enjoys playing so much, but becomes exhausted easily and collapses.. At 4 months old she is at 56 lbs.. more weight means less Oxygen circulating so she has begun to have seizures this week
Please help share this story about Kylee with the hopes that funds for her life-saving surgery can be raised. A Chip-In fund has been created on her behalf- please click here.
No donation is too small.
Note: I have personally viewed Kylee’s veterinary report, including details of her condition and her prognosis.
