With the 2012 New York International Auto Show done and over with, the automotive media has given their two cents and moved on to Shanghai, where attendees can view home market cars with names like “Eat Drink Man Woman” and “Double Dragon.” But in the good ol’ USA, we have brands like Oldsmobile and Plymouth and . . . um, yeah.
As mentioned in my article Top 13 picks at the 2012 New York International Auto Show, I was out of the country during the press preview but had fellow car nut Ken Bowser take photos on what I (and you) missed. Among the rabble of auto reps reading from a monitor, media whores, and happy-go-lucky aficionados giddy for having press credentials, there were enough redesigns to pique anyone’s fancy. Sure, a Toyota Avalon is a big snoozer to most of us, but it is still interesting to see how Toyota redesigns a better Buick.
My Top 13 picks tended to be focused on performance and exotics. In the accompanying slide show, you’ll get a taste of the rest of the vehicles at NYIAS. And for even more photos, check out all of Ken’s pics – enjoy!
Cars new and old – I like ’em all. So if you want to see something of any automotive persuasion, shoot me an email and I’ll write about it. And be sure to check out my past articles too!
