Saugerties Pro Musica offers an eclectic mix of monthly Sunday concerts September through May every year. Now in their 15th season, they present a jazz percussion trio featuring Dennis Mackrel (he is the Director of the Count Basie Orchestra) on March 18th. The Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts at Bard College offers a calendar of events of the many musical offerings in the Frank Gehry designed concert hall. Their calendar mentions an opera double bill, dance and percussion performances in the coming weeks.
Bardavon in Poughkeepsie and UPAC (its Kingston relation) offer movies, musical performances and theater, as well as being the home of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic. Visit their website for a full list of calendar events.
The Empire State Youth Orchestra has a calendar of their varied performances. “ESYO is a community of students who love music and are able to pursue their passion with other people just like them.” Performances are scheduled in Albany & Schenectady.

Windham Chamber Music Festival is a series of four Saturday evening concerts during late Summer / early Fall at the Windham Civic & Performing Arts Center. This July 21st is their 15TH ANNIVERSARY GALA CONCERT.
Trail Mix is a chamber music concert series in the Olive Free Library featuring a wealth of classic and new chamber repertoire monthly September through May. They offer Trio Cavatina March 18th. Adults $20, Students $5
Bard College Conservatory of Music lists a calendar of events for all their student recitals and performances.
The Woodstock Chamber Orchestra http://www.wco-online.com/ performs at Olin Hall in bard College and at the Woodstock Playhouse (and occasionally at the Reformed Church in Saugerties.) Their next concerts are on April 20th & 22nd Adults $20, College Students $5
The Art Times Journal, a free monthly newspaper available throughout the region, also maintains a Cultural Events Calendar online with all kinds of openings, concerts and programs listed.
The Catskill Mountain Foundation is an arts-centric not-for-profit in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Their Doctorow Center for the Arts is dedicated to music and film arts. They offer Ballet in Cinema and Opera in Cinema programs in March.
The John St. Jam calls itself “the most talked-about music venue in the Hudson Valley.” They offer performances on the 2nd (and 5th) Saturday of every month in the Dutch Arms Chapel of the Reformed Church in Saugerties. $5 Admission at the door http://johnstreetjam.net/
Albany Pro Musica describes itself as “choral singing that defines the art.” It offers Carmina Burana with its Masterworks chorus on April 21st
The Albany Symphony, according to its website, is “is one of this region’s most revered music and cultural institutions.” It offers a wide array of concerts and performances on this calendar.
Finally, SPAF (Saugerties Performing Arts Factory) refitted an enormous old paper mill in Saugerties with the idea of bringing all the arts under one roof. Still in its infancy, the owners have high hopes for creating an Arts Center. Visit http://thespaf.com/events/ to see how they progress.
