Fresh local ingredients, creative chefs, friendly and energetic staff extend the Plums reputation to the new Bluffton location of the group’s second bistro.
Lunch offers include big salads, sandwiches and wraps featuring the signature chicken salad, homemade egg salad or pimento as well as burgers, seafood or non-traditional Lowcountry Reuben.
Dinner entrees are such local favorites as Carolina Crabcakes or Shrimp and Grits. If a sauteed fish is an occasional daily special, it will always be a favorite. Wine dinners and local entertainment have been important occasions in the Beaufort Plums, and fans will be watching for these in the new locatioin.
Lantz Price, owner, and Chip Dinkins, operations manager, are well known restaurateurs who can also be seen participating with their crew in almost any local festival or foodie event. They spell success with any of their endeavors. The group also owns Saltus River Grill, an upscale contemporary restaurant on the waterfront in historic downtown Beaufort.
The new Plums is at 15 Towne Drive in Belfair Plaza, Bluffton or stay with the Beaufort favorite since 1986 at 904 Bay Street. The official grand opening is set for May 22.
