HOLLYWOOD, CA. — Hollywood is an industry where you can be loved or hated. Both can change within seconds, minutes, hours, days and sometimes weeks. That is what has happened to one person, who used to be one of the most hated people in Hollywood for his taking of images that didn’t belong to him and writing little doodles on them using Microsoft Paint.
Now, the person who is 34 years old was having a celebration in his honor and taking over an unmarked stage at Siren Studios in Hollywood. The celebration was for blogger and Hollywood personality Perez Hilton. The party was one of the most eye opening events judging from the list of young Hollywood celebrities in attendance: Corina Rico, Ashley Tisdale, Kat Graham, Natasha Bedingfield, JoJo, Debby Ryan, Amber Riley, Bridget Marquardt, Kendra Wilkinson, Jenna Jameson, Dita Von Teese, Francia Raisa, Nadine Coyle, Shenae Grimes and Kim Kardashian.
The most sassy, ravishing, and dazzling Mad Hatter Tea Party themed birthday party took over Hollywood this past weekend in celebration of 34 fabulous years of Perez. It was unlike anything ever seen before, combining the surreal & everyday where dreams & reality are perceived as one experience.
The carpet and studio had been turned into a real Alice in Wonderland experience. The invitation stated that you had to wear a hat or you would not be allowed to attend the party. So, the celebs showed up in style wearing all kind of hats and head wear. I personally wore a simple fedora. I tried to find the New Years’ hat that was given to me by Nivea after interviewing E! Entertainment News personality Giuliana Rancic and her husband Bill but had no such luck. Nivea was one of the sponsors of this fairy tale themed birthday bash for your information.
I ran into Bella Thorne who is currently starring in Disney Channel’s “Shake It Up”. We discussed the interview we did together during the red carpet for the animated feature, Gnomeo and Juliet.
The highlight of the night was when the Backstreet Boys made their way to the stage. The media in attendance had been discussing the “thumbs up” that the veteran group gave to recording artists IM5. Together, the two groups performed one of the Backstreet Boys’ classic songs, “I Want It That Way”. Also performing at this mind blowing birthday party were recording artists; Charice, Kat Graham, Far East Movement and others.
One day, I hope to throw a birthday bash like this one. Renting a production studio was a genius idea compared to renting a nightclub in Hollywood. Then I’d have to worry about specific rules, regulations etc. I did see the Fire Marshall walking around but it looked like he had more fun then some of the guests. All I can say is Perez Hilton, you sure know how to have a good time. You’ve come a long way from doing your blogging from the Starbucks at the corner of Fairfax and Sunset.
But, I think, the best part of the entire party was the nice girl who I only know by the name of Nadia, who took me away from my food to go take a picture in the you guessed it NIVEA kissing booth. I am not, going to say no to going into a kissing booth with a beautiful women. I am single, and I am allowed to have a little bit of fun. But, I think, she worked for NIVEA, and I should ask my contact, if he has a last name because she was a very nice young women. Nivea also, handed out some lip balm to guests and you can never have enough lip balm.
But the night ended with me enjoying a truffle Umami Burger and calling it a night earlier then expected.
