Author Patty Ptak Kogutek will sign copies of her new book at the Adobe Restaurant located at the Biltmore Golf Club, 2400 E. Missouri Ave. in Phoenix, on Monday, April 2, 9:30–11 a.m. The book, A Change of Habit: A Spiritual Journey From Sister Mary Kateri to Sister Mary Vodka, narrates her personal journey to find happiness and shares her seven secrets to guilt-free living.
“Don’t let religion get in the way of your relationship with God,” Kogutek admonishes in a March 28, 2012, blog entry. Her story, which takes place over forty years, tells of finding true spirituality and listening to the God within.
The book is available from Balboa Press, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble online in hardcover, e-book and softcover.
After leaving her life as a Catholic nun of seven years, Kogutek earned a doctorate from the University of Southern California. She works with the Authors of the Flathead, a group of writers from the Flathead Valley in Northwest Montana, and is on the board of Whitefish, Montana’s North Valley Hospital Foundation. She is also a member of the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers.
Kogutek and her husband, Joe, divide their time between Whitefish, Montana, and Phoenix, Arizona.
