Yes, the Lefevre Quartet will be in concert tomorrow at the First Baptist Church of Brookline near Springfield. Pastor Dan Swadley and the congregation are inviting the entire area to come to this event. There will be a love offering taken, but there are no tickets to buy. The address is 2044 S. State Hwy. MM. The concert starts at 7:00 pm.
Mike and Jordan bring the name to the group and are the anchor with the baritone and lead vocals. Mike is a former member of The Singing Americans and Gold City as well as being Jordan’s father. Jordan is the third generation member of the group. He was raised on southern gospel music and does a tremendous job.
Tenor Thomas Nalley grew up singing in church like a lot of church kids. His service to the Lord in song has taken him on tour with Providence Quartet and Southern Tradition. He adds a quality to the group that is best expressed as service.
Brandon Barry sings the low notes and his love for gospel music began with his first trip to a concert. That first experience introduced him to George Younce and the Cathedrals. What better experience for a future bass singer.
While it only takes four singers to make a quartet, the music would not bounce without Michael Lott on the piano. He has come a long way since he started playing at five. Previously he has been with The Bradys and The Diplomats.
Packing the church for the concert would be a blessing to these five men as well as to every member of the audience. Your Examiner hopes to see you there for some foot tapping and hand clapping praise to the Lord.
