Real men read

By ROBERT THORNTON
Kwame Nkrumah Academy, located in the Pullman community on the south side of Chicago, hosted their annual Real Men Read night for family and community to enjoy. This is one many events held at Kwame Nkrumah Academy that focuses on family unity and community harmony.
The fathers of Kwame Nkrumah Academy were brought together to choose books from the schools library for a night of interactive story telling. The children were delighted to see their fathers read to their classmates and perform to some of their favorite stories. Kwame Nkrumah Academy also welcomed fathers from the community. Newly elected Illinois Congressman for the 34th district Elgie R. Sims, Jr delighted the children with fun and playful story telling.
