Not sure what to do this weekend? Worried that a hike will be muddy, you might not see a boxer with bunny ears or that you’ll have to go another week without a dog? Never fear, this is your lucky weekend with activities to fix any of those worries.
- Saturday March 31. Looking for an event to enjoy alongside your canine companion? What if it’s for a good cause and involves a costume for one or both of you? Wag Hotels is hosting the Third annual Easter Egg Hunt for Dogs at it’s San Francisco facility from 11a.m.-1p.m. Canines will sniff out Easter eggs filled with doggy-safe snacks, humans will be offered human-safe snacks and everyone will enjoy photo ops with an Easter Bunny and possibly winning raffle prizes. Tickets are $20 (one per family and can be ordered through Eventbrite) and San Francisco Animal Care and Control will benefit from a portion of the proceeds.
- Saturday March 31. If a family friendly event, sans pooch, is what you’re looking for, check out the Egg-Stravaganza! at East Bay SPCA. This is a free event, from 11a.m.-2p.m., at the SPCA Adoption Center at 8323 Baldwin St. in Oakland. It will feature games and crafts for children, an educational egg search and have small animals, such as rabbits, birds, rats, etc. available for adoption just in case you’re looking to add to your menagerie.
- Sunday April 1. If you’re looking to add a dog to your family, Rocket Dog Rescue will be holding it’s ongoing Sunday mobile adoption event from 12-5p.m. in San Francisco. No April Fools here, just a number of wonderful, loving pooches looking for someone to go home with and love. The event takes place at the Pet Food Express in the Stonestown Galleria Mall, 3160 Twentieth Avenue.
