A cold front has now pushed south of the Erie area. A weak area of low pressure will move east along this front bringing clouds and showers along with the chance of a thunderstorm to much of northwestern Pennsylvania today. Most of the rain will fall this morning into the early afternoon hours with conditions improving a little late this afternoon. Highs this afternoon will be in the mid 50s in Erie.
High pressure will build across the area tonight. However, a persistent, cold northwesterly flow across the lake will keep things rather cloudy and unsettled. There will be a chance of a rain shower or two overnight. It will be chilly tonight with lows in the mid 30s.
A few rain or wet snow showers are possible early Friday, then skies will begin to clear for the afternoon. Highs will reach the mid 40s on Friday.
Another storm will pass by to our south on Saturday bringing rain back to the area. Cooler temperatures will filter southward across the Erie area and a little wet snow could mix with the rain, especially across the inland higher terrain. Highs on Saturday will only reach the low 40s.
