Having won 7 of the last 15 races, Tony Stewart is showing signs of yet another great year in NASCAR and perhaps a leaping board for a second straight championship and the fourth of his career. Last year Tony Stewart seemed to do the impossible. From being a team that barely made it into the championship chase to taking the championship with 5 wins in ten races. At the end of the year, Tony let his crew chief go and hired South Carolina native Steve Addington.
Many people saw this as a good move. Steve Addington had worked with former Greg Zippadelli to the Stewart-Haas organization. This was a brilliant move on the part of the owner/driver. Steve Addington is a quiet, laid back crew chief who has years of experience and brings a lot of knowledge to this championship team.
Having surrounded his self by so many wonderful people, it is not a wonder that Tony Stewart has already collected two wins out of 5 races in the 2012 season. He is 4th in overall points and is coming to Martinsville this weekend. This has always been a good track for Tony Stewart, having won there last fall and 3 wins at the track in his career. Steve Addington will surely keep Stewart calm and have the #14 car ready for another win at the flat, paper clip track. Look for Stewart and his team to win more than 5 races this year!
