The Search For Extra Terrestrial Life (SETI) is an organization that looks for possible UFO activity and alien life among the stars. They are enlisting public assistance in their endeavors with a crowd-sourced web application that enables users to search for UFOs and aliens from the privacy of their own homes using nothing more than a computer with an Internet connection.
According to a Slash Gear report dated February 29, 2012, SETI has a new website, SETILive, that enables registered users to view “automatically-generated images based on radio frequency scans of sections of space that SETI believes are the likeliest to contain extraterrestrial life.”
SETILive offers more than just the opportunity to scan the virtual skies for UFO and alien activity. It also allows users to see how many people are currently enrolled in the program, how many are looking for UFOs in real time, and how many current and total classifications there are.
The website also appeals to the users of social media sites by offering badges based on participation. Anyone who has free time on his or her hands is welcome to sign up and join the search for UFO or alien evidence.
