High pressure off the New England coast is being slow to retreat this morning. A low pressure system over the Ohio Valley is crawling east spreading clouds and showers that will eventually make its way to Western New York by this afternoon. There may be areas of sunshine early this morning-especially over eastern areas. No heavy rain is likely from this system, however, after its passing, colder air will filter in from Canada. Temperatures will be cool into the start of the weekend, though high pressure will dry things out beginning tomorrow and especially into Saturday with a return to sunshine.
Today, partly sunny early then cloudy with showers likely developing this afternoon. South winds near 10 mph. Highs in the mid-50’s. Tonight, early showers possible then partly cloudy. Lows in the mid-30’s. Friday will feature mostly sunny skies and cool. Highs in the mid-40’s.
