Square Enix has announced it will be adding more onto Final Fantasy XIV that will hopefully drawn more people back to the franchise than compared to recent activity.
According to the press release, the update will add two new campaigns that will be called, “The Legacy Campaign” and “The Welcome Back Campaign.”
The Legacy Campaign will unveil more than a few benefits for players who have been loyal to the brand since its release.
While the Welcome Back Campaign will encourage people who have played Final Fantasy XIV in the past, to return to the title for the new changes and refinements made to the world.
Players who have played for at least 90 days between January 6th, 2012, and the starting period for beta testing 2.0 will be offered the Legacy package for $9.99 and will receive a bonus item when 2.0 is released.
Those who have inactive accounts, but obviously have played the game before, will be offered the Welcome Back deal which includes a free 10-day trial that is to be ran from May 9th through the 20th.
There was no information involved as to when the updates and campaigns will be available for purchase, but within the next month or two is fair to assume.
